Hey ya’ll!! It’s been a while! Since it’s been like 8 months since I last posted I just wanted to give a quick life update! Life has been good; I’m still staying home with the boys while working very part time!
Tyler is getting so big! I can’t believe he is TWO! He turned 2 on March 1st and he had an Old MacDonald themed birthday party! He is obsessed with Old MacDonald or as he calls it “E I E I O” so we threw him a party at a barn with a petting zoo and pony rides! Maybe I’m biased since he is my son, but he is also so freaking smart! He knows all about dinosaurs and can even name a handful of them, he knows his colors, he can count to 10, and is currently learning his ABCs! I love watching him grow and learn… it’s amazing! Tyler has also been the best Big Brother and is so sweet to Brody!
Brody will be 9 months next week- where has the time gone! Brody is a little chunkster and weighs the same as Tyler! They could probably share clothes but for now Brody is a size smaller than Tyler. Brody had a DocBand from December until March to help round out his head some… apparently it was a little flat in the back! We decorated it to look like a Cowboys helmet and he looked so stinking cute while wearing it! He loves all the food and gets mad if you don’t feed his fast enough. He has been rocking on his knees for a month or so now but hasn’t actually crawled yet. He has been an awesome sleeper since he was born but these last few weeks have been a struggle with his two top teeth coming in. Brody loves watching his brother and I can tell they are going to have so much fun playing together!
As if life wasn’t crazy enough with two crazy and sweet little boys, we (okay I) decided we should get a puppy. We now have a Golden Retriever puppy who was born January 5th! His name is Cooper or Coop for short. I will say I forgot what it was like having a puppy… he might be more work than the boys. Ha-ha He is so cute, and we are working with him to be well trained (fingers crossed), and he will be great with the boys and I’m glad they have a furbaby to grow up with.
My sweet Fluffy girl passed away in December. I took her to the vet in early November because she just wasn’t acting like herself. After a month of not a lot of answers and lots of tests later we could out that she had cancer. She had multiple tumors and one was causing a blockage in her stomach. She would need emergency surgery to try and remove the blockage… even if the vet was able to remove the tumor the cancer had already taken over her body and the vet said surgery would only prolong her life a few weeks at most if she made it through surgery. I was heartbroken. I still miss my sweet Fluffy girl everyday but at least she is no longer in pain.
Well, that about sums up the past 8 months! I hope you all have been doing great! I plan on posting a new Blog post every Thursday!
